The Horses

Rosemary Farm is ‘where horses get to be horses’.

Rosemary Farm saves equines from slaughter, neglect, and abuse. Most have been passed from owner to owner, never knowing a herd or consistency. When they arrive here, they are home. The horses live in dynamic natural environments, in herd groups, creating vital bonds that are honored and protected.

What kind of horse is that?

A horse of any breed may find itself in need of rescue, and Rosemary Farm has known many over the years: Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse, Morgan, American Saddlebred, Spanish Barb, Standardbred, Mustang, Appaloosa, Arabian, Lippizaner, Trakehner, Haflinger, Hackney, Paint, Percheron, Clydesdale, Belgian, Shire, Tennessee Walker, Warmblood, Andalusian, Welsh Pony, Connemara, Paso Fino, Missouri Fox Trotter, Fresian, Mini, Donkey, Mule, and many crosses of these breeds. All have called The Sanctuary home.

BEFORE & AFTER

Upon arrival, each equine is evaluated and receives a holistic plan to support their recovery and provide for a healthy future.

RAINBOW BRIDGE

Remembering the friends who graced the fields of Rosemary Farm and have made their way over the Rainbow Bridge.
