Staydoption

A special sponsorship program for donors wanting to connect with and provide lifetime support for one specific equine.

Our trademark Staydoption™ program was designed to connect special people with some of the special horses here at Rosemary Farm Sanctuary. Horses that are best served by remaining here, for either physical or emotional reasons. Horses that have love to give, and would welcome a relationship with one supporter.

A Staydoption™ is different from a regular sponsorship, because only one person may Staydopt a horse, creating a dedicated 1:1 relationship that ideally extends for the lifetime of the equine. The Staydoption™ donation is $350 a month for new 2024 participants, and covers the basic needs for the horse, including food, hoof care, dental care, and preventative vet care. Additional planned or unplanned costs are covered by The Sanctuary general funds. Some Staydopters choose to provide special gifts, like a dedicated blanket or treats, and even deliver them on a visit, but this is not required.

A Staydoption™ is NOT an adoption; the horse remains a resident here under the full and complete legal ownership of Rosemary Farm Sanctuary, so that all care and training decisions may be made by the staff.

We hope that the joy of connecting with, and supporting, one special horse is the real gift of this program, and that Staydopters will visit and see the wonderful results of this commitment, but there are other perks as well! As a Staydopter, you receive

• a Certificate of Staydoption™ commemorating the dedicated role you have undertaken,

• periodic photos and updates,

• a complimentary copy of our annual Horses of Rosemary Farm calendar,

• a free private tour for you and up to 4 friends, and

• a free night in our Guest House.
