Glory is Staydopted and supported for life by Anna C., her dedicated sponsor since 2016.

“The Sorrel Sweet Talker”

Anyone who has really gotten to know an American Saddlebred knows just how emotional and devoted they can be! Tall and agile, they are also cuddly and sweet, and Glory is one of the best at giving those puppy dog eyes when she thinks someone has a treat. So how did this beauty find herself alone at auction? No one knows, and all of her former life and history were wiped away on that day, when no one else noticed her...but Rosemary Farm Sanctuary. Glory was saved from shipping to slaughter, and instead came to live at The Sanctuary.

Glory was adopted quickly but after a few years was welcomed back when things did not work out through no fault of her own. It took a bit of time for Glory to settle in and to know she was home, but she is now calm and happy. Now in her 20’s, Glory has been retired from riding, but is pasture sound and loves to run the mountain with her friends. This beauty with the flaxen mane is BFFs with Cleo and Katniss and happy to get attention on our Summer Tours.

Glory is:

• a sorrel American Saddlebred mare
• welcomed to The Sanctuary in March 2012, a member of the 10 Year Club
• a member of The Mockingjays herd
• Staydopted, with lifetime support by a kind donor
• fun fact; Glory’s mane is always adorned with ‘Fairy Knots’. It is said that during the night a group of fairies wander out in search of horses, and once their ideal mount is found, they twist their manes in these knots to form little stirrups and reins, and ride on the wind.
