TYLER

“Yes, it's a real mustache!”

Tyler is a beautiful and well-bred Quarter Horse gelding, arriving as an emergency surrender with Liv, and thought at the time to be bonded. As with many other arrivals though, they were bonded by necessity (there had been only the two of them!) and soon after getting comfortable at Rosemary Farm, they went their separate ways in the big herd, only occasionally touching base. Tyler had some handling in his past that he was not fond of, and for quite awhile would not allow his face to be touched at all.

Now he has relaxed and built some trust with The Sanctuary crew, and is happy, pasture sound with occasional lameness issues, and often found at the side of a mare including the beautiful chestnut Ruby. Tyler is retired from riding, per his wishes, but is happy to have a human brush him to a coppery glow.

Shy, he doesn’t get a lot of attention, but is a kind soul. If Tyler is a horse you care about, sign up to help with his monthly care! He will send you a secret smile for your kindness.

Tyler is:

• a chestnut Quarter Horse gelding
• welcomed to The Sanctuary in September 2017
• a member of Molly & Finn’s Herd
• seeking Sponsorship or possibly Adoption as a companion horse
• fun fact; other geldings grow them (even a few mares!) but Tyler really has a most splendid, bright orange-red mustache!
