PIXIE
“The Sugar Plum Fairy”
Pixie has been helped by several humans after she was done wrong, barely after being born! She is a purebred Thoroughbred, but not registered, because it is sadly too common for people to breed horses but later not be able to afford the fees to make it 'legal', leaving babies with no parentage that humans value. What could have been a bright future for this chestnut beauty turned into a dangerous situation. Left at a boarding barn, she was fortunate to have kind strangers step in, and help her, and a few years later, she was welcomed with two others to Rosemary Farm.
Now a young adult, the extreme separation anxiety she arrived with has faded, replaced by calm trust in her surroundings and new family. Pixie is a tall, gorgeous chestnut mare with white markings, an open face and inquisitive nature. She was born with the amazing brain of a Thoroughbred, and is enjoying learning now, and being part of a herd. The future is bright again for Pixie, who is in saddle training. She adores people and attention and may one day find a new adventure to journey on with a new family. Until then, she is safe and happy at Rosemary Farm with her beau Dominic.
