“The Arabian Gentleman”
This tall quiet Arabian gelding was part of a larger herd of beautifully bred horses, but in 2015, the owner reached out to a number of rescues, at the end of a financial rope. The horses were far behind in training, vet care, really everything, having spent almost two decades isolated; a difficult situation to embrace and help. Rosemary Farm welcomed six of the beautiful Arabians, and three of those are still with The Sanctuary today (eventually all of the horses from the original herd were spoken for and safe).
Trust took some time to build with Ice, but it was worth it, to enjoy his quiet easy presence. Calm and sweet, he spends his days with his gelding buddies enjoying retirement, as any senior of any species should.
