HEIDI

“The horse of many colors”

This beautiful mare with the apple-shaped tushie and one blue eye has a huge and loving personality. When Heidi arrived at Rosemary Farm the first time, as a youngster alongside another horse, Casper, she was a deep golden color with a bright white face; who would have known she would fade all over and leave in place a field of dark spots and dots? Heidi still has some pale yellow in her mane, and it's hard to say if she is going to continue to change color, but her personality remains the bubbly same.

Heidi has been placed twice for adoption and has returned both times, through no fault of her own. Following her second return, she needed hoof surgery and extended care to return to soundness. In her teens, now moving well and very happy, Heidi is resuming training sessions as The Sanctuary explores what is best for her future. In the meantime, she can always be found in the company of Jet and her other friends, roaming their mountain home. Heidi is also happy to greet visitors.

Who wants to be best friends with the happiest mare at the Sanctuary?  Sponsor Heidi today and be part of the reason her personality bubbles!
