ZEE
“The Gentle Tiger”
A born leader, Zee was a sudden intake ("He is getting in the trailer and going to either auction or to you") and so Rosemary Farm said yes. Suffering from navicular, a common ailment in Quarter Horse feet, Zee was in pain and needed help. Zee is a big, beautiful dun horse with stripes, called 'barring' or ‘primitive markings’...and he has them all over! He has stripes on his legs, on his back, even on his ears and his forehead! But being handsome isn't enough to keep one healthy, and Zee needed extra care for quite awhile to set him right again.
Now a pasture sound senior in his 20’s , Zee is retired from riding and is very happy with his gelding buddies, enjoying playful games and shared grooming. He is friends with Toby and Puck, also special needs geldings. Caring for Zee, who has become so gentle now that he is out of pain, is a pleasure, and we hope he has many more years.
