A handsome pinto gelding, Duke spent about a decade as a riding horse in NYC, before the stable he lived at was shuttered. Abandoned there, Duke was surrendered to Rosemary Farm, and arrived on spring day in 2013 with his buddy General, to their mutual delight. Grass! Space! Both had likely lived in many places but it had been a long time since they had been out in the country. Duke had a blown tendon and his riding days were done. His quiet nature has slowly revealed a very sweet boy. Duke is retired here, one of the senior geldings in Remy’s herd, enjoying a much deserved last chapter of peace.
